We attended a little neighborhood picnic last night with just the people on our street. Just as the Lowcountry Boil was finished boiling, the heavens opened up. We have had some CRAZY storms lately, but this one didn't stop us from enjoying the evening. Our neighbors put up this HUGE slide, complete with water hoses and a little pool at the bottom. All of the big kids were loving it and Henry was a little leery at first, but it didn't take long before he was right in the mix. Brad would put him up and "guide" him down, but soon enough H would be pushing him away wanting to do it on his own. He would squeal and laugh and loved every minute!

"Now, let me at it again!"
I feel certain I am a bad mom for letting Henry's "sensitive" ears be exposed to the water like that, but the expression on his face was priceless! He is just becoming so independent and really wanting to do things by himself now. It's so much fun to watch him really play with the other kids and loving adventure so much!

Do not even say that! You're a better mom for not being overprotective. Glad he's able to have so much fun!!! Love you,
Hanna
