Tribute to Aunt Hanna

For several years of my sister's childhood she donned a t-shirt. A t-shirt around her head. Yes, she was follicly challenged. She has gorgeous locks now, but as a little girl she so desperately wanted long hair that she walked around with a t-shirt around her cranium flipping it to and fro like a Hollywood movie star. She would convince herself that the tee was really her hair and no amount of encouragement or prodding to take it off could convince her otherwise. Eventually her hair grew to be luxuriously thick and beautiful, but thank God for the t-shirt! It saved Hanna, and i'm sure mama and daddy, from a lot of heartache.

So, as I was taking Henry's turtleneck off tonight, it got stuck on his big ol head and it briefly reminded me of my little sister and her imaginary locks!

Oh, how I loved to lean my head back and pretend it was my hair, and not the cotton t-shirt that was touching my back. Thanks for the tribute and for the laugh!
Love,
Hanna

This brings back lots of memories of Hanna Banana and her "long locks"!!! John should be very grateful that her real hair now adorns that beautiful face!
LOVE YOU!
