Christine and I took the kids out the The Smoak house at Folly yesterday morning. We arrived like that of Hurricane Hugo at 9:30am...sharp! We had approx. 15 bags, 2 coolers, 12 bottles of sunscreen, 25 capri suns, 10 pbj's, 4 jacked up kids, and 2 worn out mama's! Oh, and 4 Bud Lights that were consumed by said mama's by 9:45 am to preserve our sanity. Going to the beach with a bunch of toddlers and babies is hard work. But so worth it to see our children enjoy themselves so much!
Little Chase still has his broviac line in for chemo and it was like wrangling a cat trying to keep that boy out of the sand and water. But, Christine did a good job of keeping him all taped up and entertained under the tent. He did get to be out there with Olivia and Henry running and playing some and loved every minute!
And thank goodness for Uncle Jerry! He entertained our kids in the water and with sand castles for hours! They LOVED him! And thank goodness for Aunt Sue b/c she kept my little bitty up at the house and out of the sun so I could enjoy the beach.
What a great day with great friends in the SUN!!!
